Spanish secret sauce revealed.

admin | Bola de Nieve | Sunday, February 20th, 2011

This secret makes your Spanish flow even if you’ve had trouble before.

I call it Mortar Words.

Mortar Words keep the bricks in place and make your Spanish construction solid and firm. They hold your Spanish together like glue.

They are easy, they are frequent and they are vital.

Let’s see how they work.

We’ll start with the Spanish for I go out, salgo.

And add a few examples of Spanish Mortar words

Con = with
Mucho = a lot
Aquí = here
A veces = sometimes

Let’s see how much more meaning your Spanish has when you know how to add these simple little Mortar Words.

Salgo con mis amigos.
I go out with my friends.

No salgo mucho.
I don’t go out much.

Salgo con una Española.
I go out with a Spanish. (woman)

No salgo aquí .
I don’t go out here.

A veces salgo con mi familia.
Sometimes I go out with my family.

See how by adding just 4 Mortar Words you can make sentences with a lot of meaning.

By the way, my blog post, turn Spanish learning upside down, shows you how to use Mortar Words and the Sideways Approach to speak Spanish within 5 minutes.

Let’s use the same 4 Mortar Words this time with – tengo – I have.

No Tengo familia aquí.
I don’t have family here.

Tengo muchos amigos con casas en España.
I have many friends with houses in Spain.

Tengo mucha familia en México.
I have a lot of family in Mexico.

A veces tengo problemas con el español.
Sometimes I have problems with the Spanish.

Do you see how Mortar Words help you say a lot…with a little?

Understand how to use Mortar Words and you can twist and combine the language to say whatever you want to say.

In fact with just 54 little Mortar Words and a handful of Synergy and Brick Verbs you can make 88,000 Spanish phrases. My Synergy Spanish course shows you how to glue it all together and make your Spanish flow.

Synergy Spanish is the launching pad. Then once you understand basic Spanish and can already get by, Bola de Nieve is the next step. It’s an easy system that combines the Sideways Approach mixed with Mortar Words, Collocations, Synergy Patterns and more to give you the gift of Speaking Spanish.

By the way, I’ll be releasing a third in the Sideways Spanish series shortly.

So many people have a Spanish blockage.

They know words. They know verbs. They know grammar, but they can’t put it together into anything useful.

One of the ingredients to unblocking your Spanish is the Sideways Approach to Spanish verbs that I showed you a few days ago.

There’s a second big ingredient to making your Spanish come together. It’s easy to miss because nobody talks about it.

Yet, without it you won’t be able to hold a decent conversation.

Without it your Spanish sounds like you should be swinging through the jungle.

Me Marcus. You Elena.

When you add it, your Spanish flows together smoothly in real and fluid sentences.

The funny thing is that many people have the parts but they don’t know how to use them. This ingredient puts all the parts together.

It’s a multiplier. It allows you to take a little bit of Spanish and say a lot.

It’s in the Sideways Spanish audio. In fact it’s on every audio I create.

If you think you know the Second Spanish Secret Sauce, go to the blog post below and leave a comment.

What’s the Second Spanish Secret Sauce?

Let’s have some fun.

If you are the first person to post the right answer as a comment, I’ll send you a free copy of Synergy Spanish.

Turns Spanish learning upside down

admin | Bola de Nieve | Friday, February 11th, 2011

If you turn Spanish sideways it turns everything about learning upside down.

You don’t have to feel intimidated by all the linguistic jargon anymore. And forget the enthusiasm killing analysis paralysis.

Instead, I’ll show you how by turning Spanish sideways you start speaking in minutes. And by using the language you learn fast.

By the way, if you’re wondering what I mean by Sideways Spanish, I explain the concept on this page. You’ll also find an audio that shows you how to use it, about half way down that page.

Once that first step is under your belt, it’s time for Sideways Spanish dos.

In this step instead of intimidating terminology like STEM CHANGING VERBS, RADICALLY CHANGING VERBS AND IRREGULAR VERBS.
We’ll just turn the verb chart sideways.

We’ll focus on one pattern and speak more Spanish. Verbs that were enemigos suddenly become your amigos, ready to help you say more with your Spanish.

Go go go and speak some Spanish now with the audio below:

Una pregunta (a question)

Did you have a chance to listen to the audio on this page?

Sideways Spanish Audio Numero Uno Gratis

I used to be nervous about sharing too much of the Sideways Approach to Spanish verbs.

It’s built into my course, but I didn’t want the “secret” just sitting out there for free…where other Spanish teachers could steal it.

These days I feel much more secure. I have loyal fans all over the world and I know I can always make a living doing what I do best.

I’m not afraid to put my secret out there anymore.

If other teachers adapt to my style, that’s great! We’ll be allies in changing the abysmal way Spanish is taught.

We’ll free the world from a traditional approach that robs most people of their chance of ever enjoying Spanish.

Instead, anyone who wants to speak Spanish will be able to. And it won’t matter their age or education background.

Despite it’s power, Sideways Spanish is embarrassingly simple. It just takes a small turn in the approach and everything falls into
place.

Yet, don’t be misled by how easy it is. It holds the key to getting everything you want from Spanish. Everything that inspired you about the language in the first place can be yours if you follow this change in approach.

It’s the biggest reason I have been able to break the barriers for so many of my students. Even people who had tried for as many as four decades without success are now, finally, enjoying the language.

It’s that powerful. Try it for yourself, about halfway down the page above the comments:

After you check out the audio, read a few of the unedited comments below it about what a difference it makes once you put it into practice.

The second refrito winner is

admin | General Spanish | Thursday, February 3rd, 2011

This is from the category “Learn Spanish for yourself”. This one was really hard to pick.

In the end I found one couple that summed up the experience of so many. It’s going to be great to see them turn their lives around.

Here’s the winning entry.

I am 71 years old and I came to live in Spain two years ago. I had been coming down for several years in a RV just to spend the winters away from the cold UK. I really had no need to speak Spanish as everyone I met spoke English.

Now my wife and I are living here and find it totally frustrating not being able to Speak the language. We have tried going to classes but neither my wife nor I are up on or English grammar, so when it came to learning all the different parts of Spanish speech our minds just went blank. What we need is a simple uncomplicated way of learning the language; the way children learn, once we have the basics the rest I feel will follow.

It would give us great pleasure in been able to talk to our neighbours to feel confident when going to the doctor and not having to search for someone who can speak for us, in short just to live the life enjoy our new home and socialize with the local people. The joy of shopping and knowing what was in the tins instead of all the guess work. To think that we could read our mail that comes from the Spanish authorities.
I could go on to a thousand reasons for wanting this course, but in short it would turn our life around and give us the ability to stay in our new country and enjoy it to the full.

Felicidades Bill

I wish you all the best and I look forward to hearing how things change for you in your new country.

Saludos

Marcus
