I have a special Spanish Valentine’s Day lesson for you today.
Along with Italian, French Portuguese and Romanian, Spanish is a romance language.
Yes, the term romance is about Spanish deriving from the language of the Romans, but it is also a romantic sound.
So, in honor of St Valentine’s Day this year, I have created a special Spanish lesson for February 14.
Many of the sentences structures use the Synergy verb, Brick verb and Mortar Word patterns form Synergy Spanish.
But even if you haven’t done that course, you’ll still be able to get a lot from this lesson.
And if you have done Synergy Spanish, you’ll see just how easy it is to talk about any theme you want with the patterns you already know.
Here’s the first Spanish that you’ll hear from Elena just before you start interacting with the audio and speaking Spanish.
El Día de San Valentín es una celebración tradicional en la que los amigos, enamorados, novios o esposos expresan su amor o cariño mutuamente. Se celebra el 14 de febrero. En algunos países se llama Día de los Enamorados y en otros Día del Amor y la Amistad.
Here’s the translation
St Valentine’s Day is a traditional celebration in which the friends, lovers, boyfriends and girlfriends, husbands and wives mutually express their love and affection.
It is celebrated on the 14th of February. In some countries it is called day of the lovers and in others day of the love and the friendship.

The audio lessons in all your courses plus the extra lessons are so helpful in teaching the proper pronunciation and flow of words when speaking. Great for practice. My friend who is helping me practice my speaking abilities is amazed at how good my prponunciation is compared to other friends who THiNK they can speak Spanish and have been speaking Spanish much longer than I (I call their Spanish ” Gringo Spanish” due to their wrong pronunciation and incorrect grammer). I’m only learning Spanish as a hobby because I love the language, the music, the food, the country and just the whole lot but I don’t have too much opportunity to make Spanish friends here in Australia. Your course has certainly helped me. I am so glad I stumbled on to it just by accident. I was very intreaged when I read that I wouldn’t have to learn all the tedious grammer. Normally, I am not taken in by advertising blurp, but your method of teaching just made so much sense to me, that I had to give it a try. I worked in South america in the 70ts now aged in my 60st I am again attemting to speak spanish. I have forgotten quiet alot having not used it for so long.

My ear is not train when Spanish is spoken rapidly but when you disseminate the passage into single words then assimilate it into sentences, I understand wayyyyyyyyy better. Thank you!

Hola Marcus , I started the Synergy lessons - I am doing lesson 2 now and i find it quite easy and feel very proud of myself to complete the exercises that you have given - i do it both ways the Spanish translation in English and vise versa - THANKS SO VERY MUCH FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE it is really SUPER AND GOD BLESS YOU. I will be visiting my son who lives in Mackay in Austalia and he has a couple from Argentinia so i will try my Spanish on them.

I have lived in Mazatlan for 2 1/2 years now and the more people tell me to learn, the worse it gets.
I can order water to be delivered, food etc., but I cannot hear what they are saying unless it is one word at a time. When I try to speak, I mispronounce the words.
I can read spanish and understand it. I learned Latin and French at 13 yrs, but I have a block with Spanish. I believe my memory problems are from using Paxil. I am ready to move where I will not have to speak Spanish, it is making me depressed.

Magico como siempre, pero numero 2 no funciona normalamente para mi - it repeats itself a couple of times - bababababa (like a tremelo) - before moving on to the next part. But I persevered and got it in the end.
Your downloads are appreciated and just enough each time too digest not too much for me to cope with. I can listen whenever I have time withoiut a timetable to stick to.
